Merry Christmas
Vol.01 No.05

This worked much better via email, as you can imagine lol
Merry Christmas! 🎄
A day late, I know. But I hope you had a great Christmas and are enjoying some well-earned time with friends and family—and maybe a few too many holiday treats and/or drinks.
Before the year winds down, I wanted to share a little gift with you: a tip that’ll make your emails and texts stand out like the star on top of the tree.
This Week’s Plan:
Use personalized images to grab attention and boost engagement in your customer communications.
Before you read further, I want you to imagine that your name is written out everywhere you see “[name]”.
Since I originally sent this issue via email to a list of people whose names I know, it auto-populated these “[name]“ fields. Obviously this doesn’t work as well when you’re reading it online and I don’t know your name (yet).
Exactly what I did my opening photo (even though that photo's from last year - but we didn't really do pictures this year.)
With tools like Nifty Images (it's completely free for up to 10,000 opens), you can automatically customize your images with your customers’ names or other details.
Imagine sending a review request where the image says:
“Thanks for choosing us, [name]!”
Or a holiday greeting in your weekly newsletter with a photo of your family that says:
“Merry Christmas, [name]!”
(See what I did there? 😏)
This kind of personal touch gets noticed—and remembered.
Why it Works:
Personalized emails generate 6x higher transaction rates AND REVENUE than generic ones. (Source: Experian)
People are wired to pay attention when they see their name—it creates an instant connection.
Custom images are more engaging and memorable, making your message stand out in crowded inboxes.
How it Works:
Let’s say you just wrapped up a job and want to ask for a review.
Instead of sending a boring, plain-text email, you send this:
A photo of you holding a sign that says: “Thanks, Taylortestemaillist! We'd love your feedback—click below to leave a review!”
The image is automatically personalized for each customer, so it feels like it was made just for them.
This makes the email feel special, and customers are far more likely to engage with it.
With tools like Nifty Images, this kind of personalization is super easy to set up—and you can use it in texts, too!
The Action:
Here’s how to get started:
Sign up for Nifty Images (or a similar tool):
Upload a photo of yourself (or your team) holding a blank sign or message board.
Create Your Personalized Image:
Use the tool to add placeholders for customer names or other details.
Add It to Your Emails and Texts:
Include the image in review requests, holiday greetings, or even promotional emails.
Test It Out:
Send it to yourself first to see how the personalization looks, then start wowing your customers!
(You will need some sort of CRM, ESP, or something like that to automatically fill in the name field. I use HighLevel for this.)
Why This Matters:
In a world of copy-paste messages, personalization sets you apart, [name].
When customers feel like you’re speaking directly to them, they’re more likely to respond—and more likely to remember your business.
Take a few minutes this week to experiment with personalized images.
It’s a simple way to add some magic to your customer communications and boost your engagement.
