What I actually got done this week...
Vol.02 No.09
It’s 10:57pm Wednesday night (last night) as I write this. Fell asleep and finishing it up this morning haha.
I’m laying in bed sitting at my desk drinking my coffee wondering why procrastinated for so long. Because this has to go out by 11:00am Thursday (today). (That’s just a deadline I set for myself because I know it will never happen without a set time each week.)
I still haven’t had time to put together what I wanted to for last week. So I thought I’d do something a little different and give a glimpse of what I’ve been working on for my clients and for my own business.
Over the past week, I’ve been working on all kinds of random stuff in my own business. But at the same time I don’t have much time to focus on my business. So I’m not really making much progress there. Mainly just adding to my to-do list.
I need to update my website. Didn’t get done.
I need to create more info around my 5 Star Authority Engine so I can get the word out easier. Didn’t get that done.
I need to update my email list for another side project I have. Didn’t get that done either.
But what I did get done was some work for my clients.
Got another customer set up with my 5 Star Authority Engine to get her more google reviews on autopilot.
Made a couple website tweaks.
Created a landing page for a client that’s running Google ads. I’m excited to get this live and see how the results increase. He was already getting cheap clicks, but this dedicated landing page is going to convert much higher than his website home page.
And I also put together a couple SEO optimized blog posts this past week. I have a good feeling that they’ll perform pretty well.
Funny story about SEO: I never wanted to get into it because there’s so much to it. But I found a cool AI tool that completely simplifies the whole process. So I’ve started offering basic on-page SEO services for my clients.
In fact, one of my clients wasn’t showing up on the first page of Google for any search results other than her business name.
I used my fancy AI tool and got to work optimizing the low hanging fruit. Within a few weeks she was ranking on page one for several different keywords.
Now she’s ranking on page 1 for about 15 different keywords.
And that’s just basic on-page optimization. Well, mixed with the boost in Google reviews we were able to get her.
I know this week’s issue is a bit different than usual, but I still want to leave you with something useful and actionable:
A Complimentary Trifecta Audit
I have a system I call the “Local Visibility Trifecta”. It’s basically 3 steps to optimize your online presence by going after the lowest hanging fruit. It’s like the 80/20 rule of online optimization.
These 3 steps basically boil down to:
Optimize Google business profile
Get more google reviews
Optimize website
The audit will include:
Recommendations to improve your Google business profile.
How to get more reviews easily and automated.
Recommended tweaks to your home page to increase conversions.
A list of keywords your website is currently ranking for, and what position those keywords ranks at.
Which keywords I would recommend focusing on to boost your ranking.
A full detailed Trifecta Checklist with examples and additional resources.
